Dr. Gilbert A. Smith, Chief Executive Officer, is a consultant, basketball coach, and motivational speaker who has spent over 10 years compiling research in the area of coach athlete communication . He has spent 45 years in the sport of basketball as player, coach, and co-owner of a summer youth basketball camp and educational program.
Dr. Smith attended college on a dual athletic scholarship for track and basketball. Basketball has been his sport of choice. He has served the New Jersey community for the past thirty years, both as direct practitioner and as an agency head and administrator.
Dr. Smith holds Master Degree in Social Work Administration, and is certified as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. His Doctorate degree was earned in the Department of Health Sciences at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA with a concentration in Kinesiology.
Some of Dr. Smith’s other areas of expertise are counseling, therapeutic intervention, motivational speaking, and staff development and training. In addition, many years in the public schools has solidified for him the vital importance of effective communication in all walks of life.
Dr. Elinor A. Smith, President is a licensed clinical social worker with a background in education and social service. Following receipt of a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Winston-Salem State University, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Dr. Smith entered A&T University in Greensboro, North Carolina where she earned a Master of Science degree in Education.
Dr. Smith also earned a Master’s degree in Social Administration and a Doctorate in Kinesiology at Temple University, In Philadelphia, PA. She has extensive background in teaching, special education and Child Study Team responsibilities, social work, and as a consultant on foster care and adoption placement issues. Additionally, she has had lengthy experience and training in the management and remediation of systems that affect families and children, as well as those that impede the efficiency of organizations. Her busy life is complemented and positively augmented by membership and regular participation in her church.
Dr. Stephanie Doyle, M.D., Consultant with Associated Counselors, received her medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey -New Jersey Medical School and completed her graduate medical education in Family Practice at Virtua Health System, Voorhees Division.
Dr. Doyle has been in private and group practice for 15 years, working most recently at South Jersey Healthcare Life Center as a Primary Care Physician. Dr. Doyle has also served several school districts in New Jersey as School Physician. Dr. Doyle has served the Cumberland, Salem, and Camden County communities, delivering primary care to its residents and students for over 15 years. Dr. Doyle is currently a Physician with Cape Regional Physician Associates in Cape May, NJ.
Dr. Doyle’s main role with Associated Counselors, PA is to develop and facilitate health seminars that directly impact personal health and well-being. Her expertise is critical to many areas of the human body that can be affected by domestic and non-domestic events.
Mario D. Partee, Chief Operating Officer, has overall responsibility for planning, financial, and operations. As a Southern New Jersey native, Mario started his own business at the age of 12 detailing cars out of a hair studio in Sicklerville. By the age of 16, Mario had build a success business with a growing customer base of more than 300 customers. Later, Mr. Partee studied at Camden County College and Thomas Edison College here in New Jersey. Holding many key life learning positions, his opportunity to work with then mentor Ralph A. Sturdivant (deceased), CEO of Sturdivant & Co, a financial firm in Clementon, NJ became most life changing. Partee left Sturdivant & Co. shortly after Sturdivant’s passing to take advantage of an opportunity in management with Williams Communications Solutions in Philadelphia. At Williams, Partee was an Information Technology Manager with large industry clients like PECO Energy, Merrill Lynch, Hewlett Packard, Sony, Comcast, and Dow Jones & Company. This is where he was able to utilize his knowledge and experience that he learned from his mentor to advance quickly within the organization. He has received many awards for excellence which he is very much proud of. In 2008, Mr. Partee worked for a local food bank as Corporate Relations Manager where he learned about the hunger issues of the Southern New Jersey region.
After leaving the food bank in 2011 Partee started his own non-profit organization called Community Care Food & Clothing Pantry where he is currently the Executive Director. CCFCP’s mission to help eliminate hunger in Winslow Township and the surrounding areas has helped thousands of families. Mr. Partee’s dedication to answering calls from the community for emergency assistance for food and clothing is a valuable resource. Mr. Partee has expanded his interest in the Rowan School of Medicine – Cooper University Hospital in Camden City as a contractor in the simulation patient education center. He uses his talents to help educate medical students from all over the region. Partee continues to move Associated Counselors, PA forward in the mental health sector by applying vision and implementation of strategic plans for the betterment of the organizations he runs.
